The Hazel Wood🌲🌲…………………….

The Hazel Wood🌲🌲…………………….

I hate those creepy, weird, books 📚 that make me want to shudder and crawl down with a blanket over my head. This is not like that. It’s kinda creepy- God, I hate using that word😓(creepy) -but it doesn’t make me wanna run away to Antarctica ❄️. It does the opposite. 😍

For Alice Crewe / Alice Proserpine / Alice-Three-Times – Whateva you want 2 call her – bad luck has always followed her.

Traveling from one point to another, she and her mother, Ella, have never been able to stay in the same place for more than a few months🗓- Always because of the bad luck that seems to follow them everywhere☹️. But when news 📰arrives in the form of a letter✉️, it seems as though all that is about to change.

As they settle down in New York🏙 everything seems to go alright. Ella marries again👰🏻, Alice gets a new step-sis👩🏼 and a new job. But good things never last long. Bad luck is still following them.

And Alice is about to find out why.

When Alice comes home one day, she finds no one. Ella, Harold and Audrey are missing😮. And someone is stalking her.🤫 Is she finally going to find the cause of all her bad luck?🤨Who are the Hinterland and what do they have to do with the Hazel Wood🌲, the closed up home 🏠 of Alice’s grandma👵🏻 Althea Proserpine? More importantly what do they have to do with Althea herself?❓❓❓

Looks like Alice is going to find the answers to all this, but only with a friend…………

This is one of my favorites😍 and is a MUST-READ!!! I love❤️ this book soooooooo much! I’ve probably read it at least a 100 times by now! I bet you that you’ll love❤️ it too!

My List Of 5 Favorite Books📖!!!!!!🤗

My List Of 5 Favorite Books📖!!!!!!🤗

1.Tuesdays With Morrie: It’s been my fav book 📖 since, well, forever! Written by Mitch Albom, this a true story. It’s beautiful and simple and just begs you to keep reading. And you do! As once said it’s a elegant wonder about the writer ✍🏻 getting a second chance to enjoy life through the slow death of a beloved teacher 👨‍🏫 /friend.

2.The Malory Towers Series: This series is a kinda oldie, but a definite goodie by Enid Blyton. One of the reasons why it’s a favorite of mine is because no matter how many times I read this book, it’s always refreshing and fun.

3.Percy Jackson ⚡️: I’m sure I don’t need to explain this book! By Rick Riordan, this is one of everyone’s all time favorites! Based on Greek mythology ( I LOVE ❤️ any type of mythology!) it’s very popular!

4.Kiranmala and The Kingdom Beyond: I just posted my book review on the second book in the series.Written by Sayantani Dasgupta, it’s a great mixture of Intergalactic science 🌠and Bengali folktales. This is a MUST READ!!😍😍 (It’s also ridiculously funny!🤣🤣)

5.Refugee: This book is a total recommendation from me! By Alan Gratz, this book is about 3 kids from different timelines with the same priority- Escape! Based in wars, the kids and their families must escape to safe haven, but the journey will be full of struggle and grief😔.It might be sad, but it’ll make you want to not stop reading!🤗

These 5 are some of my Favorite🤩books! They are great to buy and read ( It’s not like we have anything else to do! 🙄) during quarantine! They are all available on Amazon!

Game Of Stars -Sayantani Dasgupta

Game Of Stars -Sayantani Dasgupta

When the Demon Queen 😈appears in Kiran’s bedroom, Kiran pays her no mind.

Game of Stars ✨ ⭐️ is the second book in the series ‘ Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond ‘. Once again Sayantani Dasgupta brings us a great combination of inter-galactic 🌠science and Bengali folktales.

If you read my post on The Serpent’s Secret ( The first book in the series) you’ll know all about Kiran. If not, worry no more! Kiran is not your usual damsel-in-distress. On her 12 B-Day Kiran comes to realize that all of her parents wacky stories are real!To know more, read my post on The Serpent’s Secret!

Now back to the real post! When the Demon Queen appears in Kiran’s bedroom in the middle of the night, Kiranmala pays her no mind. After all it’s been some time since her friends in The Kingdom Beyond -where Kiran was born to her biological parents, The Moon🌙 maiden and The Serpent 🐍King- contacted her.But every night as The Demon Queen’s visits get crazier and crazier, Kiran starts to doubt herself.

The final straw comes when The Serpent King appears on the inter dimensional T.V., announcing a reality game show in partner-ship with Kingdom Beyond! Whoever wins will get fabulous prizes💎and galore! They will also win a special prize for their Kingdom!

Why does all this sound familiar? Will Kiranmala participate, even though it will be dangerous and totally most probably rigged? And WHAT is going on in the Kingdom Beyond?????

Read this book of complete awesomeness 🤗( That’s a mega 🤟🏻compliment from me !) by Sayantani Dasgupta. It’s available on Amazon!(Duhhhhh!!!)🙄🙄

This is a awesome book for kids who ♥️ L.O.V.E ♥️fantasy, folktales and Fun Indian folklore!

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!!

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!!

Mom, I love you,

You might wonder why,

There’s nothing to it, I’ll say with a sigh.

You’re the one who fed me, when I wouldn’t take a bite!

You’re the one who bathed me, when I couldn’t even cry!

The list could go on, from the minute I was born to the minute I type.

The most best thing you’ve done from the point of view of your daughter dear,

Is that you molded me to be who I am today, each minute you say “Don’t Do That! Do This!”

If I’m funny or caring, if I’m kind or daring, if I’m the person I am, it’s because of you Mom!

I love You Mom!♥️♥️

Wings of Fire -I’m obsessed with Dragons

Wings of Fire -I’m obsessed with Dragons

WINGS OF FIRE!!!!!!

Wings of fire has been in my list of favorite books for a long time,so this post is kinda late. Anyone who knows me will know I am obsessed with dragons, so when I found this series in my school library, back when I was still in Illinois,USA, I grabbed it.

It’s a great book, set in a world where dragons are its inhabitants and humans are a lowly species, called scavengers by the dragons. But we don’t appear so much -always as prey or as pets- , although the first story arc is set in an ongoing war between the 7 tribes -Sandwings, Mudwings, Seawings, Icewings, Skywings, Rainwings and the Nightwings- and the war was ultimately caused by 3 ‘ scavengers ‘ . And yes, I said story arc. This series is a total of 3 story arcs, 2 of which are set in Pyrrhia ( The continent 🌏 ) and the third set somewhere else……….

Written by Tui T. Sutherland, this series is a New York Times bestseller😍.The narration is great, each book being told from the point of view of a different dragon.

These books will keep you hanging from every line, and it’s not really violent even though there’s plenty of fights.Don’t get it? Each fight is narrated simply, in a matter of fact sorta line. So, while dragons do die/get killed, you won’t find it as a bloody, gory, disgusting theme. All this means kids from above 7-9 can read it 😊.( BTW, by above 7-9,I mean kids from above 7 or 9 can read it )

Again, it’s a great book series and I totally recommend you read it.(It’s available in Amazon and who knows where else 😝). #ReadQuarantine!! 😍😍✌🏻
