It was my friend Kanan’s birthday. At her birthday we had lots of fun. She had a frozen cake. When we were just about to leave, Kanan gave us our return gifts. Mine was 2 gifts. One was a small toy and the other one was a book. “The Serpents Shadow” – by Rick Riordan

Now about the book.
The giant Chaos Apophis and his rebel magician allies strike again. Luckily Carter and Sadie Kane are back with the help from Thoth “the knowledge god”, Bast “the cat goddess” and especially Setne “the god of evil”. They capture Apophis shadow so they can be preformed a spell that will take Apophis so deep in to the Duat that he(Apophis) will never come back again.
In this book Rick Riordan expects us to follow our destinies and make the right choices and never give up even when the giant serpent swallowed the sun god Ra so that there would be no light anymore in the world.
Rick Riordan talks about the Egyptian gods and puts his all imagination in one book. Its believable in his fantasy work.
Kanan if you are reading this blog thank you so much. I love this book. I was sitting in tip of the chair eagerly awaiting for a new surprise for every chapter.
