A blessing fell from the sky
And a few months later
A newborn cry,
Broke the river that had become so dry.

You held me carefully
In your safe hands,
And as I looked in confusion,
Your sight cleared my vision.

Your values you passed down
From your mouth to my ears,

But from my ears
You thought it slid,

But it didn’t
And for that
I am your ever grateful kid.
