What I Could and What I Can

What I Could and What I Can

When I was a baby,
I could crawl and cry.
I could think about cheese that had got blasted,
Oh, how I wish it had lasted!

That was what I could and this is what I can.

I can study the alphabet,
It’s very hard work!
I can play Hide and Seek all day,
In the shadows I’ll lurk.

That was what I can and this is what I could.

When I was a kid,
I could study the ABC’s and play all day.
It was such fun,
Oh, How I bathed in the sun!

That was what I could and this is what I can.

I can study and study and study,
I can write and write and write.
Atleast I have a little pup
Though, Oh, How I wish I was all grown up!

That was what I can and this is what I could.

I was a teen,
I could study and study, and write and write.
Oh,how was I so clean!
Sure, I was just a little bit green.

That was all what I could and this is who I am.

I’m a grown-up now,
Its a big, fat ,torture!
I’ve got a whole mountain of pressure,
And that’s just for small measure!

How I wish I was anything else!
When will people learn that,
Its no fun being a grown-up.
Though , I still hold my memories near.

That is what I could and isn’t it all so queer?

Starry Night

Starry Night

Starry night across the sky,
Cheerful birds twitter and laugh.
I can hear their singing in my raft.

I see the tiger and deer playing a game of catch.
I can see a laughing thief poking his head into a house who’s family,
forgot to lock the latch!

The trees are dancing in the breeze,
Elephants hop up and down, trying to hold in their sneeze!

Waves are crashing against the shore,
And while seeing his reflection in the water,
The lion gives a big loud roar!

Laterns are raising the sky,
While pigeons fly up high.

The sun comes up.
The stars go down,
Everything stops without a frown.

What a cheerful night it was!
Full of petite tweets,
And soon I’ll be stuffing my face with sweets!!
